Who does our safeguarding policy apply to?

Our safeguarding policy applies to everyone attending Haworth Central Park Bowling Club or its events. This includes all members, coaches, volunteers, visitors, parents of young players, and of course, our younger players and vulnerable adults. Your safety is our collective responsibility.

 

What steps does the club take to ensure a safe environment?

Haworth Central Park Bowling Club is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. We achieve this through robust DBS checks for relevant personnel, clear codes of conduct for all members, regular safeguarding training for staff and volunteers, and maintaining accessible reporting procedures for any concerns.

How do I report a safeguarding concern?

If you have any safeguarding concerns, it is crucial to report them immediately. Please contact our designated Safeguarding Officer,. Alternatively, you can speak to any club official who will guide you through the process.

What if my concern is urgent or involves a child at immediate risk?

If you believe a child or vulnerable adult is in immediate danger, you must contact the local police on 999 or your local Children's/Adult Social Care services immediately.

Our club's safeguarding procedures do not replace statutory responsibilities for protection.
